Mary Virginia Thelen was born at Hastings, ne. on August 15, 1926. Her parents were Monce B. Goble, a rural mail carrier, and Rita McKenna Goble. They lived in Prosser, Ne until 1935, when they moved to Wood Rvier, Ne.
Virginia attented Eood River public schools, graduating in 1943, and then attending Saint Theresa College in Winona, Minnesota. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Wood River Ne.
Virginia Goble and Leo F. Thelen, of Wood River, Ne were united in marriage on September 28,, 1944. To them were born three sons, Patrick, Steven, and Christopher.
She spent her life as a housewife and parent, and her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.
She became ill with cancer in October of 1989, and died September 27th 1990.
